Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and caring Part Time Direct Support Professional to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential assistance and companionship to individuals with developmental disabilities, ensuring their safety, well-being, and daily needs are met with enthusiasm and respect. Duties

- Assist individuals with daily activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration
- Support participation in community outings, recreational activities, and social events
- Help with light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and maintaining a safe environment




- Provide compassionate patient care tailored to each individual’s needs, including dementia or hospice care if applicable
- Support individuals with mobility through heavy lifting or transfers as needed
- Document care activities accurately and communicate effectively with team members and family members
- Promote independence by encouraging skill development and self-care routines

Experience

- Prior assisted living or home care experience preferred
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or senior care is highly valued
- Knowledge of dementia care, hospice care, or nursing home environments is a plus
- Strong caregiving skills including medication administration and patient support
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate attitude toward those in your care
