GradeUp Winnipeg is a K-12 tutoring service that matches families across Winnipeg with caring, well-prepared tutors. We are growing in the North Kildonan and northeast Winnipeg area and are looking for tutors who live in or near that part of the city.

About the role

You will teach students one-on-one in their homes, usually 1 hour at a time, once or twice a week. We handle the matching, scheduling, invoicing and parent communication. You focus on teaching.

Who we support

Many of our families are looking for a tutor who is patient, organized and can adapt how they explain things. This includes:

- Students who are strong but struggling with a harder course, pace or frequent tests
- Students with ADHD, dyslexia or other learning differences, who often need clear structure, short steps, different ways of explaining, and encouragement
- High school and middle school Math, Pre-Calculus and the sciences

What you'll do
- Teach one-on-one sessions in the student's home
- Work from the student's own class materials, and add practice and test-prep strategies
- Adapt your teaching to the student (visuals, step-by-step methods, chunking, short breaks)
- After each session, log a short recap and ratings in our parent portal so families can see progress
- Arrive on time and communicate professionally with GradeUp

What we're looking for
- Strong skills in Math (ideally through Pre-Calculus or higher) and/or the sciences




- Experience tutoring, teaching, coaching or working with students, including those who learn differently or find focus harder (ADHD experience is a real asset)
- Patience, warmth and clear communication
- Living in or near North Kildonan, Garden City or northeast Winnipeg
- Reliable transportation to students' homes
- Available some evenings (4 to 9 PM) and/or Saturday mornings
- A current Manitoba Child Abuse Registry Check (we will help you get one if you don't have one yet)
- Comfortable with a laptop and basic online tools
