The Kativik Regional Government (KRG), a supra municipal body with jurisdiction over the territory located north of the 55th parallel, is now looking for a self-motivated and dynamic individual interested in joining the KRG to work in the capacity of: PERMANENT, PART TIME POSITION) Under the Supervision of the Uumajuit Program Coordinator, the responsibilities of the Warden will include, without being limited to: ~ Assist in the realization of the Nunavik Wildlife Protection Plan objectives and the Nunavik Aboriginal Aquatic Resources and Oceans Management Agreement objectives

- Assist wildlife protection officers during verifications done on residents, temporary residents, and visitors in Nunavik
- Verify hunting and fishing access rights on the territory
- Participate with the wildlife protection officers in the education programs for students
- Ensure communication between residents, temporary residents, and visitors in Nunavik
- Collect weekly observation and catch data (i.e. sighted, landed, loss and wounded) of marine mammals: Belugas, walrus, seals, narwhals, bowhead whales and killer whales
- Available to undertake patrols and to travel within Nunavik
- Written and oral working knowledge of at least two (2) of the following languages: Inuktitut, English, and French Willing to undergo training. The selected candidates will attend training provided by the Ministère de la Forêt, maximum $66 291/year (Class 5) Food allowance: Minimum of $4 972/year Simplified Pension Plan: 6.25% employer, 4% employee Vacation: 20 days annually Statutory Holidays: 20 days including 10 during Christmas holidays. est actuellement à la recherche d’une personne motivée et dynamique qui souhaite entrer au service de l’ARK pour travailler en qualité de: POSTES PERMANENTS À TEMPS PARTIEL) Sous la supervision du coordonnateur du programme Uumajuit, le gardien devra assumer les responsabilités suivantes, sans en exclure d’autres : ~ Prêter main-forte aux agents de protection de la faune lors de vérifications réalisées auprès des résidents, des résidents temporaires et des visiteurs au Nunavik
- Vérifier les droits d’accès à la chasse et à la pêche sur le territoire
- Veiller à la communication entre les résidents, les résidents temporaires et les visiteurs au Nunavik
- Recueillir des données hebdomadaires sur les observations et les prises de mammifères marins (observés, débarqués, perdus ou blessés), notamment les suivants : les bélugas, les morses, les phoques, les narvals, les baleines boréales et les épaulards
- Expérience éprouvée en récolte des ressources renouvelables, en chasse, en pêche, en piégeage et en ce qui concerne les compétences relatives aux terres ancestrales
- Connaissance pratique d’au moins deux (2) des langues suivantes, à l’écrit et à l’oral : inuktitut, anglais et français
- Volonté de suivre une formation.

Les candidats retenus prendront part à une formation fournie par le ministère de la Forêt, de la Faune et des Parcs, afin qu’ils puissent occuper le poste d’adjoint à la protection de la faune.

Salaire : Minimum :40 906 $/année

- Voyages de congé annuels : maximum de trois par personne par année Régime de retraite simplifié : 6.25% pour l’employeur, 4 % pour l’employé Vacances : 20 jours par an Jours fériés : 20 jours dont 10 pendant les vacances de Noël
