Who we are

Gord Davenport founded Davenports Auto Parts (Gord Davenport Automotive Inc.) in 1972. More than 50 years later, we're still family owned and operated, now in our third generation. We're an independent CARQUEST member with our head office in Orangeville and branches in Bradford, Shelburne and Alliston. We supply parts, tools and equipment to professional repair shops and everyday DIYers.

Who we're looking for

We can teach you our systems. What we can't teach is the right attitude. We're looking for someone who:

- Brings a excellent attitude every day. You're upbeat and friendly, and you stay steady when the phones are ringing and there's a line at the counter.
- Really listens. You ask the right questions, catch the details and get the customer the right part the first time.
- Loves vehicles. Maybe you work on your own car, follow the latest builds, or just like knowing how things work under the hood. Whatever the reason, it shows.

What you'll be doing

- Helping professional shops and walk-in customers find the right part, in person and on the phone, using our electronic cataloguing system
- Building real relationships with customers who come back because they trust you
- Solving problems:



tracking down hard-to-find parts and handling any concerns quickly and professionally
- Learning our products inside and out through hands-on research and monthly training
- Pitching in where needed, including managing your till, keeping the showroom sharp, and helping with shipping.

What you bring

- Solid knowledge of automotive parts and systems
- Comfort with computers and electronic catalogues
- Strong communication skills and good phone manners
- The ability to juggle priorities and stay organized
- A team-first mindset and a desire to learn and grow with us
- A valid driver's licence and a reliable vehicle, plus flexibility to work at our other locations when needed
- The ability to lift 50-75 lbs and to be on your feet up to 8 hours a day (walking, standing, climbing ladders)

Hours Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.,

plus alternating Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
