Job Summary

Mokha Coffee House is looking for a skilled and reliable Pastry Chef to prepare high-quality desserts, cakes, pastries, and baked goods while maintaining consistency in taste, appearance, and presentation.

Responsibilities

- Prepare and produce cakes, cheesecakes, milk cakes, croissants, pastries, desserts, and other bakery items according to Mokha Coffee House recipes and standards.
- Follow recipes, portion sizes, production quantities, and presentation standards consistently.
- Decorate, cut, portion, and package desserts for café locations, catering orders, and special events.
- Prepare daily and weekly production based on store demand and inventory levels.
- Monitor product quality, freshness, appearance, and shelf life.
- Ensure products are properly labeled, dated, stored, and rotated using FIFO procedures.
- Maintain proper food handling, sanitation,



and food safety standards at all times.
- Keep pastry workstations, equipment, refrigerators, freezers, and storage areas clean and organized.
- Monitor ingredients and supplies and report low-stock items before they run out.
- Minimize food waste by following proper preparation, portioning, and storage procedures.
- Assist with receiving and organizing ingredients and supplies.
- Complete production and cleaning tasks within required timelines.
- Communicate with management regarding production needs, product quality, shortages, or equipment issues.
- Assist with developing and testing new desserts and seasonal products when required.
- Follow all Mokha Coffee House policies, procedures, recipes, and quality standards.
