Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Pastry Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, baking, and decorating a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods to meet high standards of quality and presentation. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for baking, excellent food handling skills, and a commitment to food safety protocols.

Duties

- Prepare and bake a wide range of pastries, cakes, and desserts according to established recipes and standards
- Decorate cakes and pastries with precision using various cake decorating techniques
- Ensure all baked goods are prepared in accordance with food safety and hygiene regulations
- Assist in food preparation tasks including ingredient measurement, mixing, and assembling baked items
- Package finished products carefully for delivery or display while maintaining quality and freshness
- Maintain cleanliness of the pastry station, equipment, and tools in compliance with health standards
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely production of baked goods during service hours




- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, notifying management when restocking is needed
- Support the team in developing new pastry recipes and presentation styles to enhance menu offerings

Requirements

- Proven experience as a Pastry Cook or similar role within a restaurant or food industry setting
- Solid skills in cake decorating, baking techniques, and food presentation
- Knowledge of food handling procedures, food safety standards, and sanitation practices
- Experience with food preparation, cooking methods, and kitchen operations
- Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with colleagues and guests when necessary
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Familiarity with packaging techniques for baked goods to ensure quality during transport or display
