This role of PCB Designer will be responsible for the layout design and documentation of printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) used in Battery Management and Battery Assembly systems across industrial, automotive, and military applications. The role will require close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Electrical and Mechanical Design, Test and Qualification Engineering, and Operations/Production. Occasional interaction with end customers may also be required.

Responsibilities

- Work with the project team in understanding circuit requirements and limitations
- Design PCB layouts to develop power productive, easy to manufacture and reliable circuits
- Analyze and resolve design related issues in a timely manner
- Review and recommend improvements to existing designs
- Using CAD, update schematics, and bill of materials of PCBA in addition to the board layout, generating suitable release packages for reviews, PWB fabrication, and PCBA manufacture
- Participate in design reviews, providing peer support and leadership to other design engineers
- Adhere to test requirements for product validation/qualification and for mass production
- Support Sales team with concept drawings and other data required during quotation phase
- Conduct job trainings and provide assistance to junior team members when needed
- Design or modify mechanical components and sub-assemblies
- Generate 3D models and 2D drawings for all designed parts and assemblies using a combination of Altium and SolidWorks
- Follow departmental policies and safety regulations.

Core Competencies
- Familiarity with BMS IC’s and controllers, microprocessors, power semiconductors & connectors
- Proficiency with schematic capture & layout,



particularly Altium
- Solid understanding of product development cycle and methodologies (DFM, EMC design, etc.)
- Appreciation of, and rigorous compliance with, design control procedures
- Demonstrated familiarity and experience designing electronic products to withstand stresses specified by automotive industry standards
- High attention to detail with excellent organization and problem-solving skills
- Strong and self-motivated team player
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Familiarity with IPC rules and standards that impact PCB insulation distances (IEC-60664-1, UL60950 or similar)

Qualifications
- Engineering degree or college diploma.
- 5 years minimum experience in electrical, electronics or related field.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year

Education:
- Bachelor's Degree (required)

Experience:
- power electronics: 5 years (required)
- , battery systems and/or embedded designs.: 5 years (required)
- controllers, microprocessors & power semiconductors: 3 years (required)
- BMS IC’s: 3 years (required)
- designing electronic products: 3 years (preferred)
- high-speed communication protocols and interfaces: 3 years (preferred)
- battery management and assembly systems: 3 years (preferred)
- testing embedded systems with various microprocessors: 3 years (preferred)
