Skaha Lake Pharmacy is a new independent community pharmacy in Penticton focused on providing personalized, patient-centred care in a welcoming and professional environment. We are looking for an experienced Pharmacy Assistant or Registered Pharmacy Technician to join our growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in an independent pharmacy setting where there is an emphasis on getting to know patients, providing exceptional service, and being part of a close-knit team.

Position Details

- 24–40 hours per week
- Wage: $22–$30 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
- Benefits included for full-time employees
- Part-time or full-time opportunities available
- Located in Penticton, BC

What We're Looking For Previous community pharmacy experience is strongly preferred.

Compounding experience is a significant asset and will be given strong consideration. Applicants with experience preparing non-sterile compounded medications, working with compounding formulas, or supporting a compounding workflow are especially encouraged to apply.

Applicants without previous compounding experience are also encouraged to apply if they have a strong interest in learning compounding and developing their skills in this area.

The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, detail-oriented, comfortable working independently, and committed to providing a high level of patient care and customer service.

Responsibilities

- Assist with prescription processing, preparation, and workflow
- Support the pharmacist with day-to-day dispensary operations
- Prepare and package compounded medications as appropriate to your role, training, and scope
- Assist with compounding documentation, formulas, inventory, and workflow
- Prepare and manage blister packs/compliance packaging for patients
- Maintain accurate patient and prescription information
- Process third-party insurance claims and resolve billing issues
- Assist with inventory management, ordering, receiving, and expiry monitoring
- Communicate professionally with patients,



prescribers, and other healthcare providers
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient dispensary and compounding workspace
- Follow pharmacy policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements
- Help create a positive and welcoming experience for every patient

Qualifications
- Previous community pharmacy experience strongly preferred
- Previous compounding experience strongly preferred
- Experience with non-sterile compounding is considered a major asset
- Candidates without compounding experience should have a robust desire to learn and participate in compounding
- Experience with blister packaging/compliance packaging is an asset
- Registered Pharmacy Technician applicants must be registered and in good standing with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable working in a busy, patient-focused environment
- Reliable, professional, and able to work effectively as part of a small team
- Experience with pharmacy dispensing software is an asset
