About us

Aqua S.T.A.R. has run aquatic programs across Metro Vancouver for nine years: private swim instruction and lifeguard services at community, hotel and private pools. We are opening an aquatic rehabilitation line and are looking for a founding physiotherapist to anchor it. Insurer registrations are in progress.

What we provide

- Clients from our existing swim families and senior clients, treated one-on-one in their own homes and building pools, and later at community pools
- A booking and scheduling platform and billing administration
- No rent, no front-desk work

How it works
- Independent contractor: you set your own availability and keep your own clinical records
- Keep your other practice. No exclusivity, no quotas
- You keep 65% of every session fee: $91.00 to $97.50 per 45-minute session
- Plus 100% of travel, paid at ICBC's rates ($0.71 per minute plus $0.66 per km, one way)
- Paid every two weeks
- The hourly range shown ($62 to $72) is an estimate of earnings per hour of your time, including the drive, for clients within about 20 to 30 minutes.



Back-to-back clients in the same building earn more.
- Founding role: our first physiotherapist can take on the paid role of overseeing our kinesiologists' insurer-funded work

Requirements
- Full CHCPBC registration, active and in valuable standing
- $2M professional liability insurance in your own name
- A business licence from your home city, plus a Metro West Inter-Municipal Business Licence if you serve clients in more than one city, in place before your first session. We reimburse the Metro West licence fee for founding practitioners.
- Current CPR / First Aid
- Aquatic therapy training (CARI / ATRI) is an asset, and we can support you in getting it
