Vivo Cura Health
Calgary
Location: 325 Manning Road NE, #100, Calgary, AB (In-person)
Employment Type: Part-Time Contractor (3 days/week, ~1:00 PM – 7:00 PM)
Remuneration: Competitive Split / Fee-for-Service
Growth Path: We don’t believe in static roles. Growth at Vivo Cura isn’t just about seeing more patients; whether your ambition is elevating your clinical eye, mastering complex spine care, leading your own specialized clinical program, or simply building a sustainable long-term practice with an incredible team, we invest in your trajectory from Day 1.
About the Role
At Vivo Cura Health, our mission is simple: to deliver integrated, continuous care for individuals navigating musculoskeletal pain and injury so they can get back to living.
Too often in private practice, physiotherapists operate on an island— writing referral letters into the void, or wishing they could walk down the hall to discuss an MRI, an interventional plan, or a complex post-trauma case with a physician.
We built Vivo Cura to break down those walls. In our centrally located, state-of-the-art Calgary facility, you will practice within a genuine shared-care ecosystem. You’ll work directly alongside:
- Physiatrists focusing on complex spine pathology and interventional diagnostics
- Sport & Exercise Medicine Physicians managing acute and chronic peripheral joint conditions
- Nurse Practitioners, Registered Nurses, and Athletic Therapists collaborating seamlessly to guide patient pathways
We are looking for a team-oriented, evidence-informed Physiotherapist to take ownership of an afternoon/evening caseload (3 days per week, typically 1:00 PM – 7:00 PM, with flexibility on specific days). Whether you’re an experienced clinician looking to practice alongside medical specialists or someone eager to develop a caseload surrounding your specific clinical interests (e.g., pelvic health, vestibular/concussion, or complex spine) within an interprofessional setting, you’ll find a supportive, growth-oriented home here. What Impact We’re Looking for You to Make
- Deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care: Conduct in-depth assessments,
provide education that empowers, and build active rehabilitation programs tailored to individual patient goals.
- Tackle diverse, meaningful caseloads: Manage a rich clinical mix across our core clinical streams—including complex spine (~50%), peripheral joint pathology, our rapid-access Acute Injury Clinic, Motor Vehicle Collisions (MVC), and WCB return-to-work programs.
- Be an active interprofessional partner: Step across the hall to coordinate treatment with our Physiatrists, Sport Medicine Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, and ATs. You won't just send updates; you will actively co-manage care and streamline conservative interventions alongside medical or interventional care.
- Help steer clinical quality: Maintain high-standard, timely clinical documentation and participate in reviewing interdisciplinary referrals and patient-reported outcome measures to ensure our care models stay responsive and effective.
What Experience We Need (and what’s flexible)
- Education & Credentialing: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Physiotherapy, registered (or eligible for registration) in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Alberta.
- Clinical Foundation: Ideally 2+ years of outpatient MSK experience, but we are flexible. What matters most is strong clinical reasoning, curiosity, and comfort managing both acute presentations and persistent pain.
- Collaborative Mindset: A natural inclination toward multidisciplinary teamwork, clear communication with physician colleagues, and a genuine commitment to interprofessional care.
- High-Impact Asset (A Unique Opportunity on Our Team):
- Spine Rehabilitation:
Our Physiatry service is actively expanding! This role offers an exceptional opportunity for a physiotherapist with experience or a strong clinical interest in spine care. You will work in direct partnership with our Physiatrists and Nurse Practitioners—co-managing complex acute and chronic spinal conditions, collaborating on pre- and post-interventional care pathways (such as fluoroscopic and ultrasound-guided procedures), and serving as the primary conservative rehabilitation partner for our specialized spine stream.
- Concussion & Vestibular Rehabilitation Training: Our current clinical team does not have dedicated in-house vestibular/concussion support. If you have post-graduate training or a focused clinical interest in this area, you will have immediate opportunities to carve out a distinct clinical niche, receive direct internal referrals from our medical streams, and help build out this service.
If you’re excited about this role and feel your values align with our team, but you don’t check every single box above—we’d still love to hear from you and add you to our talent pool. Schedule, Compensation & Growth
- Target Schedule: Part-time, 3 days per week with an afternoon/evening window (1:00 PM – 7:00 PM). We offer flexibility in collaborating on which three weekdays fit your schedule best.
- Contractor Structure: An attractive, transparent fee-for-service / split arrangement that rewards your clinical expertise.
- A Clear Bridge to Employee: As your caseload and commitment scale toward full-time (>0.8 FTE), you have a direct option to transition into a permanent Employee role with extended health, dental, disability, life insurance, and paid time off.
- Modern Clinic Environment: Enjoy fully equipped assessment and treatment rooms, access to our in office gym and active rehab equipment, underground parking and full administrative and billing support so your focus stays squarely on patient care.
- 1:1 Care: No overlapping bookings or rushed multi-bed supervision. Sessions are booked for 30, 45, or 60 minutes, letting you practice the kind of physiotherapy you went to school for.
