Position Summary

We are seeking a Highly Reliable, Hard Working, Motivated, and Compassionate Physiotherapy Assistant to join our growing team. The successful candidate will work closely with physiotherapists and other healthcare professionals to support patient rehabilitation, assist with therapeutic exercises, maintain treatment areas, and ensure smooth daily clinic operations.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, has an interest in rehabilitation and healthcare, and takes pride in providing excellent patient support.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist physiotherapists with supervised therapeutic exercises and rehabilitation programs.
- Guide patients through prescribed exercises and ensure they follow instructions safely.
- Assist with patient preparation and positioning for treatment.
- Set up, clean, and organize treatment rooms and rehabilitation equipment.
- Support patients with mobility, transfers, balance activities, and functional exercises, as directed by the physiotherapist.
- Monitor patients during exercise sessions and promptly communicate any concerns or changes to the treating therapist.
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and infection prevention standards throughout the clinic.
- Assist with patient flow, appointment coordination, Scheduling, Handling administrative duties and taking phone calls when required.




- Maintain accurate treatment-related records and complete assigned documentation.
- Communicate professionally and compassionately with patients, families, and team members.
- Take initiative in maintaining an organized, welcoming, and efficient rehabilitation environment.
- Perform other duties related to patient care and clinic operations as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience as a Physiotherapy Assistant, Rehabilitation Assistant, or in a healthcare setting is an asset.
- A diploma or certificate in Physiotherapy Assistant, Occupational Therapist Assistant, or a related healthcare field is preferred.
- Knowledge of therapeutic exercises, rehabilitation equipment, mobility assistance, and basic anatomy is an asset.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Comfortable working with patients of different ages and physical abilities.
- Ability to follow clinical instructions and work under the supervision of a regulated healthcare professional.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.

Job Details Job Type: Full-time

Work Location: In person, Kitchener and Cambridge, Ontario

Language: Fluent English (required); French is not required.

Compensation: Based on qualifications and experience.
