Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and efficiently check them in for appointments, ensuring a friendly and professional experience
- Manage multi-line phone systems to answer inquiries, schedule appointments, and direct calls appropriately
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records using systems like Epic and Dentrix to ensure confidentiality and easy access
- Verify patient insurance information and process payments or co-pays with precision
- Coordinate appointment scheduling with physiotherapists and other healthcare providers to optimize clinic flow
- Handle administrative tasks such as managing correspondence, updating patient information, and organizing files
- Support clinic operations by maintaining a clean,
organized reception area and ensuring all office equipment functions properly
Requirements
- Prior experience as a medical or dental receptionist, with familiarity using electronic health record systems such as Epic or Dentrix preferred
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology to accurately communicate with patients and healthcare staff
- Proven office experience in busy front desk environments, demonstrating excellent organizational skills
- Ability to operate multi-line phone systems efficiently while managing multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a friendly, professional demeanor that fosters patient trust and comfort
- Experience working in medical or dental offices is highly desirable; familiarity with medical office procedures is a plus
- Basic computer proficiency with knowledge of electronic medical records management and office software
