PLOW TRUCK OPERATOR – SNOW REMOVAL

Job Type: Part-Time, Seasonal Contract

Work Arrangement: On-Site / Field-Based

Contract Term: October 2026 – March 31, 2027

Hourly Rate: $28–$38 per hour, based on experience and qualifications

Typical Route: Approximately 5–6 hours per snow event

This is a fixed-term seasonal contract running from October 2026 to March 31, 2027. Operators are responsible for completing assigned snow removal routes during snow events, with the possibility of additional work and continued employment based on operational needs and available opportunities.

JOIN THE HARLOW GROUP The Harlow Group provides residential and commercial snow and ice management services throughout Dunrobin, Constance Bay, Woodlawn, and surrounding areas.

We're looking for a reliable Plow Truck Operator to operate a 3/4-ton plow truck and complete assigned snow removal routes throughout the winter season.

The successful candidate will work independently to safely and efficiently transparent assigned customer properties and communicate with Operations throughout each snow event.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

ROUTE OPERATIONS

- Operate a 3/4-ton pickup truck equipped with a snow plow.
- Complete assigned routes throughout Dunrobin, Constance Bay, and Woodlawn.
- Clear driveways, entrances, parking areas, and other assigned properties.
- Complete routes safely, efficiently, and to Harlow's standards.
- Monitor weather and site conditions and adjust driving and plowing practices as required.
- Communicate route progress, delays, property concerns, or other issues to Operations.





VEHICLE & EQUIPMENT
- Perform pre- and post-shift vehicle and plow inspections.
- Identify and report equipment damage, mechanical issues, or maintenance concerns.
- Keep the truck and equipment clean, organized, and ready for service.
- Report safety concerns or equipment issues promptly.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

- Reliable and comfortable working independently.
- Valid G Class driver's licence and clean driving record.
- Previous snow plowing or snow removal experience is preferred.
- Experience operating a pickup truck with a snow plow is an asset.
- Good understanding of safe winter driving practices.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in quality work.
- Basic mechanical aptitude is an asset.
- Ability to work extended hours, overnight shifts, evenings, weekends, and holidays during snow events.

EXPERIENCE & ASSETS

- Previous experience operating a plow truck or similar equipment.
- Residential or commercial snow removal experience.
- Experience working independently on assigned routes.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle and snow plow maintenance.

WORKING CONDITIONS

- Part-time, field-based position working primarily outdoors.




- Typical route is approximately 5–6 hours per snow event.
- Hours and frequency vary based on snowfall and operational requirements.
- Work may include overnight shifts, early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Work takes place in cold, wet, snowy, and potentially low-visibility conditions.
