Responsibilities

- Stock and replenish produce displays with fresh fruits and vegetables, ensuring items are attractive and properly labeled
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the produce department, including cleaning shelves, bins, and work areas
- Assist customers by providing friendly service, answering questions about products, and offering recommendations
- Operate equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks to move large quantities of produce safely and efficiently
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate with management to ensure adequate stock is available
- Implement merchandising strategies to highlight seasonal items or promotional displays
- Ensure compliance with safety standards,



including proper handling of perishable goods and maintaining a clean work environment

Requirements

- Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred
- Ability to operate forklifts or similar equipment (certification is a plus)
- Strong customer service skills with excellent communication abilities
- Bilingual skills are advantageous for serving diverse customer bases
- Knowledge of merchandising techniques and inventory management practices
- Willingness to perform cleaning duties and maintain high standards of cleanliness in the department
- Good organizational skills to manage stock levels and department layout effectively
- Ability to stand, walk, lift heavy items, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
