SHIFT SCHEDULE

· Afternoon Shift: 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM, with a 30-minute unpaid meal break. Open to work on statutory holidays and weekends.

· Report to the Night Shift Supervisor/Manager

Position Summary The Produce Sorter and Picker is responsible for sorting, selecting, packing, and preparing fresh produce for customer orders. The position requires attention to product quality, accuracy, cleanliness, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Sort and inspect fresh produce according to quality, size, type, and customer requirements.
- Remove damaged, spoiled, or unacceptable products.
- Pick produce accurately according to customer orders and packing instructions.
- Weigh, count, pack, label, and organize produce for delivery.
- Ensure orders are complete, accurate, and properly prepared for loading.
- Handle produce carefully to minimize damage and product loss.
- Rotate inventory according to FIFO (First In, First Out) principles.
- Check product condition and report quality issues, shortages, or damaged products to the supervisor.
- Keep work areas, tables, equipment, and surrounding warehouse areas clean and organized.
- Assist with receiving, unloading, moving, and organizing produce when required.
- Follow food-handling, hygiene, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
- Work cooperatively with warehouse, shipping, receiving, and delivery teams to meet daily order deadlines.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to repeatedly bend, reach, lift, carry, and move produce and boxes.




- Ability to lift and handle boxes or produce weighing up to 50 lbs (23 kg).
- Ability to work in refrigerated or varying-temperature warehouse areas when required.
- Ability to perform repetitive sorting, picking, and packing tasks.

Qualifications and Skills

- Previous experience in produce, food distribution, grocery, warehouse, packing, or a similar environment is an asset.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable, punctual, and physically capable of performing the duties of the position.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Previous food-handling experience is an asset.

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 25.0 per week
