Job Overview
We are looking for a qualified candidate to join our Production team as the Production Administrator.
The Production Administrator balances office administration with hands-on floor support (~50% floor time) to ensure effective license plate manufacturing. This role manages work orders, production scrap logs, timesheet processing, document control, and directly assists floor operations to meet delivery schedules.
Responsibilities
Managing work orders by
- Preparing, verifying, and closing production and shipping work orders for standard and custom orders.
- Printing and verifying labels, creating box detail sheets, and maintaining organized order records and forms.
Completing production documentation by updating work instructions for checking, packaging, and palletizing as directed by Quality and Customer Service. Providing support to floor operations by:
- Assisting with checking, oven rotations, box making, and packing as needed.
- Assisting with preparing and processing Direct Mail orders.
- Monitoring, processing, and ensuring timely completion of personalized plate orders.
Completing reports to track scrap and quality by:
- Generating, preparing and distributing daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly production and scrap reports.
- Recording daily scrap data and sheeting defects.
Providing administrative support by:
- Collecting, auditing, and processing weekly payroll timesheets for all production departments.
- Conducting monthly production consumables inventory counts and reorder floor stationery and operational supplies.
Ensure that products are produced consistently meeting or exceeding established criteria. This includes following established procedures, quality control checks, and the desire to satisfy customer expectations. Ability to do the job well with little to no supervision.
Ability to effectively react to change and undertake other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- 2 years of administrative or operational support in a manufacturing environment
- Proficient with Work Order Management (WOM) systems, Microsoft office, and record auditing.
- Comfortable splitting time between desk administration and active physical floor support.
