Production Manager – Landscape Maintenance

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Manager to oversee our Landscape Maintenance and Winter Operations divisions. This individual will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations, leading crews and supervisors, and ensuring that work is completed safely, efficiently, and to our company standards throughout the year.
This is a full-time, year-round position ideal for someone with strong leadership skills, operational expertise, and experience managing multiple crews in both landscaping and snow removal.

Key Responsibilities
Daily Operations Management
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee the day-to-day activities of the Landscape Maintenance and Winter Operations divisions.
- Develop and manage crew schedules, ensuring employees have the equipment, materials, and information needed to complete their work.
- Adjust schedules and priorities as needed to accommodate changing workloads, weather conditions, and client requirements.
- Oversee seasonal transitions, including the transition from landscape maintenance to winter snow removal operations.
Crew Oversight
- Supervise, support, and hold crew supervisors and team members accountable for performance, quality, and efficiency.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, ensure quality standards are met, and address any concerns.
- Ensure crews are properly staffed and equipped to meet operational demands throughout the year.
- Provide hands-on support and direction when required.
Winter Operations & Snow Removal
- On call from November to April.
- Oversee all aspects of winter snow removal operations, including scheduling, staffing, equipment readiness, and daily execution.
- Coordinate crews and supervisors during snow and ice events, ensuring timely and effective service delivery.
- Monitor weather forecasts and prepare staffing and equipment in advance of anticipated weather events.
- Manage on-call operations and adjust resources as weather conditions and customer requirements change.
- Ensure all winter work is completed safely, efficiently,
and in accordance with customer contracts.
- Oversee equipment preparation, maintenance, and readiness ahead of and throughout the winter season.
Quality Control & Client Satisfaction
- Conduct inspections of completed maintenance work and snow removal services to ensure they meet Superb Group's standards.
- Address client feedback, service concerns, and operational issues promptly.
- Ensure all contracted services are delivered consistently and to the expected standard.
- Identify opportunities to improve service quality and operational efficiency.
Leadership & Development
- Train, mentor, and develop supervisors and crew members to strengthen their leadership skills and overall performance.
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, performance reviews, and disciplinary processes as needed.
- Promote a positive, accountable, and team-oriented work environment.
- Set clear expectations and ensure supervisors are effectively leading their crews.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all employees follow company safety policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures.
- Promote a strong safety culture across both the maintenance and winter operations divisions.
- Ensure equipment is operated safely and employees have the appropriate training and protective equipment.
- Maintain compliance with company policies and applicable health and safety regulations.
Communication
- Serve as the primary point of contact between upper management, crew supervisors, and field employees.
- Communicate job details, schedules, deadlines, and expectations clearly.
- Keep management informed of operational challenges, staffing needs, equipment issues, and overall crew performance.
- Maintain effective communication with supervisors during winter weather events and changing operational conditions.
Problem-Solving & Efficiency
- Anticipate and resolve operational challenges to ensure projects and services are completed on time and within budget.
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Manage unexpected changes in weather, staffing, and workload while maintaining service standards.
- Monitor labour, materials,
and equipment usage to support operational efficiency and profitability.
Reporting & Documentation
- Submit regular reports on crew performance, job progress, operational challenges, and overall division performance.
- Maintain accurate records of labour hours, materials, equipment usage, and operational costs.
- Monitor job profitability and identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure all required operational documentation is completed accurately and on time.
Qualifications
Experience
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in the landscaping industry, with hands-on knowledge of landscape maintenance and snow removal operations.
- Minimum of 3 years of leadership or management experience overseeing multiple crews.
- Previous experience managing seasonal operations, scheduling, and coordinating field teams is an asset.
- Experience with commercial, industrial, or multi-residential properties is preferred.

- Basic computer proficiency, including email, scheduling software, and reporting tools.
Requirements
- Valid Ontario G driver's licence with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and on-call availability during winter snow events.
- Physical ability to perform occasional hands-on tasks when required.
- Willingness to be available and respond to operational needs during snow and ice events.

Pay: $65,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
