Position: Social Skills Program Assistant Location: Burnaby/New Westminster, BC

Responsibilities: The Program Assistant, under direction of the Program Manager, will be responsible for implementing a small group program to children on the Autism Spectrum, between 5-9 years old. The program focuses on building social and communication competencies, as well as increasing independence, confidence and leadership skills.
We are looking for confident leaders, that can take a solid role in challenging situations. You should have a big personality, a strong presence, and be able to manage a group of 3-6 primary students effectively.

Necessary Background:
ONE OF: Teacher, Behaviour Consultant, Education Assistant, Behaviour Interventionist education or training considered an asset.
Requirements:
*Enthusiastic, energetic and confident
*Able to deliver a directed lesson to a small group, and demonstrate independent group management skills, while ensuring students are having fun!
*Able to take initiative
*Work independently and as part of the team
*Computer literate
*A passionate commitment to true inclusion and neurodivergent affirmative philosophy
*An understanding of PBS principles
*2 years experience with children with varying neurodiversities.
*A vehicle and clean driving record To Apply:
