Project Manager | Genesis Metalworks

Brantford, Ontario

Genesis Metalworks is a family-owned and operated metal fabrication and welding company in Brantford, Ontario, with more than 35 years of welding experience. We provide full-service metal fabrication, from cutting and forming through welding, assembly, finishing, quality control, and delivery.

Our customers come to us with a project, drawing, or idea, and we help turn it into a finished product. As Project Manager, you'll play an important role in that process, connecting the customer with our team and helping ensure each project is properly planned, coordinated, and delivered from start to finish.

At Genesis, you’ll be joining a team that believes in doing the right thing, getting things done, doing quality work, finding a way forward, and working together. If you're someone who takes ownership, enjoys solving problems, and takes pride in getting the job done right, we'd like to hear from you.

The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to take ownership of fabrication projects from customer inquiry and quoting through engineering, production, quality, delivery, and closeout. This is a hands-on role working closely with customers and our shop team to keep projects planned, coordinated, and on track. You will:

- Manage projects from RFQ and quoting through production, delivery, and closeout, keeping scope, schedule, costs, and priorities on track.
- Review drawings, specifications, and customer requirements, identifying potential issues and ensuring projects are properly planned before entering production.
- Coordinate workflow between estimating, engineering, fabrication, welding, finishing, quality, and delivery.
- Coordinate multiple custom and production projects while communicating priorities, requirements, changes, and deadlines clearly to the team.
- Build strong customer relationships by providing timely project updates,

managing changes, and addressing concerns before they become larger issues.
- Monitor project costs, labour, outside services, schedules, and overall profitability, keeping management informed of progress, risks, and decisions requiring attention.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and ensure changes, revisions, and approvals are communicated to the appropriate teams.
- Support quality, safety, ISO processes, corrective actions, and continuous improvement, including delivery coordination and field or mobile welding requirements when needed.

The goal is straightforward: understand the project, plan the work, keep everyone informed, solve problems early, and deliver what the customer needs. What You Bring to the Team

You are an organized and practical Project Manager who understands fabrication, communicates well with customers and tradespeople, and knows how to anticipate challenges and keep projects moving.

We're looking for someone who brings:

- 3+ years of project management, project coordination, production management, or related experience in metal fabrication, welding, manufacturing, construction, or a similar industrial environment.
- A solid understanding of metal fabrication and welding processes, with the ability to read and interpret fabrication, shop, and engineering drawings.
- An ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities while keeping customers, the shop, and other stakeholders informed.
- A practical approach to identifying issues early, making decisions,

and following projects through to completion.
- An ability to work in a rapid-paced manufacturing environment and working directly with trades and production teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word.

Experience with custom fabrication, production welding, CNC laser cutting, press-brake forming, CAD, ERP or manufacturing systems, ISO 9001, or CWB requirements would be an asset. Why Genesis?

At Genesis, we build things, and our people are a big part of making that happen. You'll work alongside skilled tradespeople, contribute to real projects, and see the work move from an idea or drawing to a finished product. It's a hands-on environment where people are encouraged to take ownership, solve problems, and find better ways to get the job done. This opportunity includes:

- Competitive compensation of $80,000–$110,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications;
- Comprehensive benefits plan and RRSP matching program;
- Boot allowance program;
- Company events and activities, including golf tournaments, family days, and team events;
- Supportive and collaborative team environment;
- Regular, full-time hours with a Monday–Thursday 7:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. and Friday 7:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. schedule;
- Opportunities to grow, take ownership, and make a meaningful impact.

Genesis is committed to an inclusive and accessible recruitment process and will provide accommodation upon request. We thank all applicants for their interest in joining Genesis, however, only candidates selected for further consideration will be contacted. Pay: $80,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
