Role Description The Project & Portfolio Management Platform Software Developer is a full-time remote role responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions that support infraMOD’s project and portfolio management processes. Day-to-day work includes building and enhancing platform features, integrating financial and portfolio data, and creating tools that improve visibility into project performance and risk.
The role involves collaborating with engineering, finance, and project management stakeholders to understand requirements, translating them into robust technical designs, and implementing secure, scalable, and user-friendly applications. The developer will troubleshoot issues, optimize system performance, maintain documentation, and contribute to continuous improvement of development practices.
Participation in code reviews, adherence to quality standards, and proactive support for production environments are also key responsibilities.
This is part time or full time task focused - fixed time contract role working remotely anywhere in the world but interacting with the supervisor and other team member regularly and providing updates on daily basis.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to interpret complex project, financial, and portfolio data and translate insights into effective platform features.
- Candidates should possess project management, project controls (cost & schedule management), and Earned Value Management knowledge to design tools that accurately model project costs, returns, and risk profiles within the portfolio management platform.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in modern programming languages (e.g., Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript), along with experience in web application development and APIs.
- Candidates should have experience with databases and data modeling.
- Candidates should possess strong problem-solving abilities, clear written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred; experience in infrastructure, fabrication, construction, or industrial sectors is an asset.
