Pediatric Home Care PSW / Caregiver

Part-Time Opportunity – Weekday Daytime Hours

Living Grace Home Care & Wellness Inc. is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and engaging Personal Support Worker (PSW) or experienced caregiver to provide one-on-one support for a young pediatric client in a family home setting.

This is a rewarding opportunity to provide individualized, family-centered support while assisting with the child's personal care, comfort, mobility, development, activities, and daily routines. The successful candidate will work closely with the family and become a long term, consistent and trusted part of the child's care team.

Schedule

- Monday: 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM
- Tuesday: 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM
- Wednesday: 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM
- Thursday: 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM
- Friday: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- Some scheduling flexibility may be available for the right candidate

Pediatric, caregiving, and home care experience are assets. Family-provided training will be available for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

- Support with feeding routines
- Personal hygiene and daily care
- Assistance with medications within the PSW/caregiver's permitted scope and established care plan
- Stretching, positioning, and assistance with established exercises and routines
- Application of leg braces and supportive devices
- Assistance with mobility and adaptive equipment, including walker and stander
- Observing and reporting changes in the child's condition or needs
- Supporting comfort, safety, mobility, and development
- Assisting with established nap and daily routines
- Engaging the child in age-appropriate activities, play, and interaction
- Completing required care documentation
- Collaboration and communication with family
- Providing respite and support to the family
- Accompanying the client and family to appointments and community outings as required

Qualifications

- Personal Support Worker (PSW) certification is preferred; applicants with relevant caregiving or pediatric support experience may also be considered




- Current Vulnerable Sector Check or willing to obtain
- Comfortable providing personal care and hands-on support
- Ability to work independently in a home care environment
- Strong communication skills
- Dependable and able to provide consistent availability as per schedule
- Comfortable working collaboratively within established family routines
- Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada and maintain valid authorization to work for the duration of their employment

Assets

- Pediatric care or support experience
- Home care experience
- Current CPR Certification (preferred)
- Experience supporting children with physical or medical complexities
- Experience with mobility and adaptive equipment
- Experience providing personal care and developmental support
- French-speaking ability (preferred but not required)
- Local or within a reasonable commuting distance

Pay: $23.00-$26.75 per hour
