Growing Psychotherapy Clinic | Durham Region & GTA
We are a growing psychotherapy clinic primarily based in Durham Region, offering virtual services across the Greater Toronto Area. We are seeking a compassionate Registered Psychotherapist (RP) or Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) to join our team.
Our approach is warm, collaborative, and culturally responsive. We believe effective therapy makes room for each client’s experiences, relationships, culture, faith, and identity.
About the role
You will support clients navigating concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, burnout, relationship challenges, pregnancy and postpartum transitions, and addictions. We welcome therapists with different clinical interests and areas of expertise.
We are particularly interested in expanding access to culturally responsive care for Muslim, Black, South Asian, Arab, immigrant, and refugee communities.
Who we’re looking for
- Registration in good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), as an RP or RP (Qualifying).
- Experience or a demonstrated interest in supporting diverse cultural communities.
- An understanding of how family expectations, migration, racism, identity, and belonging can influence mental health.
- Comfort exploring faith and spirituality when relevant to the client, while respecting their individual beliefs and preferences.
- A warm, client-centred approach grounded in evidence-informed and trauma-informed care.
- Professional liability insurance and arrangements to meet any applicable clinical supervision requirements.
- A commitment to ethical practice, timely documentation, and continued professional development.
Language skills The ability to provide psychotherapy in Urdu, Hindi, Punjabi, or Arabic is a strong asset. Please identify the languages in which you can confidently provide clinical services.
Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide psychotherapy within your areas of competence.
- Collaborate with clients to establish goals and monitor progress.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and uphold professional standards, confidentiality, and privacy.
- Contribute to an inclusive and respectful therapeutic environment.
