About The Role We are seeking an experienced Playwright QA Automation Engineer to join our Quality Engineering Automation (QEA) team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive hands-on expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining automation frameworks tailored for web applications and APIs. You will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products across both UI and backend layers.
Your responsibilities will include creating scalable end-to-end test automation frameworks using Playwright, developing comprehensive UI and API test suites, and validating complex microservices and integrations. You will analyze test results, identify defects, and collaborate closely with developers to resolve issues efficiently. Additionally, you will identify opportunities to optimize test coverage,
automation processes, and overall QA workflows.
Your work will directly impact the delivery of high-quality software that meets our rigorous standards and enhances user satisfaction.
Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in QA Automation and Software Testing
- Strong hands-on expertise in Playwright with TypeScript
- Minimum of 3+ years in building hybrid or custom automation frameworks using Playwright
- Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or Java for automation scripting
- Experience working in agile teams utilizing BDD, Cucumber, Github Actions, and Jenkins
- Proven track record of developing and maintaining automated testing frameworks and test suites
- Extensive experience validating REST APIs, microservices, and handling payloads/JSON schemas
- Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and software delivery workflows
- Excellent analytical skills to troubleshoot automation failures and interpret test data
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable end-to-end test automation frameworks using Playwright
- Develop robust UI and API test suites to validate complex web applications, microservices, and backend integrations
- Create and execute API testing strategies to verify integrations, functionality, security, and data accuracy
- Analyze test results, identify defects, and collaborate with development teams to resolve issues promptly
- Identify opportunities for improving test coverage, automation efficiency, and QA processes
- Troubleshoot automation failures and generate detailed test execution reports
- Define, monitor, and report on key quality metrics to inform process improvements and risk mitigation
- Support CI/CD pipeline integration for automated testing and continuous delivery
- Work collaboratively within agile teams, supporting onshore and offshore models as needed
