Elevate the well-being of residents at Golden Links Lodge as a Recreation Worker in Winnipeg. Plan, facilitate, and evaluate vibrant recreation programs to support the needs of the elderly. This full-time position requires a Recreation Worker who works under the Operations Manager.
A passion for improving social, physical, and emotional well-being is essential, with qualifications including experience with the elderly and a Recreation Facilitator certificate valued. Engage with residents to develop tailored recreation care plans and ensure an enjoyable environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual recreation assessments for residents
- Develop customized recreation care plans for each resident
- Plan and deliver group recreation programs and special events
- Communicate program goals with residents and families
- Supervise volunteers participating in recreation services Requirements:
- One year of experience working with the elderly
- Certification in First Aid/CPR or similar an asset
- Knowledge of aging processes and group dynamics
- Solid organizational skills and creativity
- Criminal Record and Adult Abuse Registry check needed Foster engagement and connection within the community by creating meaningful recreation programs for residents.
