Millstone is seeking a skilled Red Seal Journeyman Cabinetmaker to join our team. In this role you will be reporting to the Production Manager. This position bridges traditional craftsmanship with automated manufacturing.
You will be responsible for preparing parts using CNC machinery, software and traditional bench assembly techniques to meet production targets. As a certified professional, you will bring expert craftsmanship and precision to a variety of our millwork projects, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency at every stage. You will fabricate, assemble, and finish custom cabinetry and architectural millwork.

Responsibilities
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints and technical drawings to execute precise carpentry work.
- Operate woodworking machinery including table saws, shapers, routers, CNC, and edgebanders.
- Execute advanced joinery techniques such as dovetails, etc.
- Fabricate and assemble cabinet components, custom furniture and architectural millwork.
- Assemble flat-pack and CNC-machined components into finished cabinetry.
- Apply hardware precisely according to project designs.
- Perform routine maintenance on shop machinery and tooling.
- Optimize material yield to minimize waste during the fabrication process.
- Inspect finished products for accuracy, quality, and defects before shipping or installing.
- Maintain a clean and organized worksite while adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Promote a culture of craftsmanship and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Valid Red Seal certification as a Carpenter with proven experience.
- Strong math skills for calculating dimensions and material take-offs.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (50-80 lbs) and complete physical work on site.
- Valid driver's license.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, reading plans and power tool safety.
- Expertise with hand tools and power tools.
- Excellent problem solving skills with a keen eye for detail; committed to delivering high-quality craftsmanship on every project.
- Experience in a professional custom cabinet or millwork shop is considered an asset.
- High school diploma or equivalent, completion of a carpentry program is considered an asset.
