Our Opportunity:

We currently have openings for Journeyperson Refrigeration Mechanics, Lead Journeyperson Refrigeration Mechanics, or a Foreperson Refrigeration Mechanic to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

- Install, service, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial refrigeration systems and equipment.
- Diagnose refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, and control-system issues.
- Perform system start-up, testing, commissioning, and preventative maintenance.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and equipment specifications.
- Complete refrigeration piping, brazing, component replacement, and related installation work.
- Work with modern refrigeration controls and a range of commercial refrigeration technologies.
- Complete service documentation and work orders accurately and on time.
- Provide professional on-site service and maintain strong customer relationships.




- Work independently and collaboratively with other technicians, apprentices, and project teams.
- Depending on experience, provide technical guidance, coordinate work on site, and support or lead other team members.
- Follow all company safety procedures and applicable regulatory requirements.

Qualifications / Competencies

- Must be available to work evenings, nights, and weekends as needed. The position is primarily local, with occasional out-of-town travel, typically 1–10 nights per trip (travel and living-out allowance provided).
- Valid Refrigeration Journeyperson Certificate.
- Experience repairing, installing, and commissioning refrigeration systems in supermarkets is a definite asset.
- CO₂ refrigeration experience is an asset.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
- Excellent electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to analyze and interpret construction and schematic drawings, technical literature, and equipment specifications.
- Career-oriented, with an interest in ongoing technical and professional training.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license.
