Responsibilities

- Design and implement developmentally appropriate activities that stimulate cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth for children.
- Foster a safe, welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration, independence, and positive interactions among children.
- Collaborate with families to support each child's unique needs and developmental goals through regular communication and updates.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress, attendance, and daily activities to ensure compliance with licensing standards.
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing individualized care plans in collaboration with specialists.
- Lead classroom routines such as mealtime, nap time, and outdoor play while ensuring health and safety protocols are followed diligently.




- Use strong communication skills to work effectively with colleagues, parents, and community partners to promote a cohesive educational experience.

Qualifications

- Valid registration as an Early Childhood Educator with relevant licensing or certification bodies.
- Proven experience working with children in educational or childcare settings, including classroom management skills.
- Knowledge of child development principles, early childhood education practices, and special education strategies.
- Bilingual abilities in English and French are highly desirable to support diverse communities.
- Experience working with children who have disabilities or special needs is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—to engage effectively with children, families, and team members.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently within a busy classroom setting.
- Proficiency in computer operation for record keeping, lesson planning, and communication purposes.
