Are you looking for an RVT position where you can actually use your skills, continue learning, and be part of a team that takes both patient care and workplace culture seriously?

Silver Star Animal Care Clinic is an independently owned small animal practice in Vernon, BC, and we are looking for an RVT to join our growing team.

We practice high-quality, evidence-based medicine while keeping patient comfort, low-stress handling and client communication at the centre of what we do. We want our RVTs actively involved in patient care, not standing on the sidelines.

New graduate? Apply. You do not need to arrive knowing everything. We are happy to invest in someone who is motivated, accountable, curious and genuinely wants to become an excellent technician.

- Dental radiographs and dentistry support
- Venipuncture, IV catheter placement and sample collection
- In-house laboratory testing
- Medication administration and patient treatments

- Maintaining accurate medical records

We want technicians who are comfortable taking ownership of their patients, asking questions when something does not make sense,

and speaking up when they are concerned.

What we're looking for

You may be a great fit if you:

- Are a registered RVT, eligible for registration, or graduating soon
- Care deeply about doing things properly, not just quickly
- Have strong attention to detail

- Take responsibility when something goes wrong
- Notice what needs to be done and take initiative
- Enjoy learning and want to keep developing your technical skills
- Value teamwork and are willing to help wherever needed
- Can work independently once trained, while knowing when to ask for help

Veterinary experience is valued, but we are absolutely open to new graduates who demonstrate the right mindset and potential.

What you can expect from us

- No weekends
- No on-call shifts
- Competitive compensation based on experience and skill level
- Extended health and dental benefits
- Vision care
- Employee assistance program
- Staff discounts
- Continuing education support
- Fear Free education and training
- Hands-on mentorship for newer RVTs
- Opportunities to continue developing anesthesia, dentistry, laboratory, patient-care and client-communication skills
- A modern, independently owned clinic where your ideas and contribution matter

New grads

Starting your first RVT job can be intimidating. We do not expect a new graduate to function like a technician with ten years of experience.

We do expect you to ask questions, accept feedback, take patient safety seriously, and steadily become more independent as your confidence and skills develop.

If you want mentorship but also want to be challenged to grow into a capable, confident technician, we would love to meet you.

Experienced RVTs

If you already have strong technical skills, we want to hear from you too.

We are looking for someone who wants meaningful involvement in patient care, appreciates autonomy, and enjoys helping create efficient systems and a strong veterinary team.
