The Instructional

Designer, Contractor position, will have a solid background in both instructional design and technical writing, with the ability to create engaging and effective learning materials and documentation. This is 3-6 months contract role and includes: Apply adult learning and instructional design theories, practices, and methods to create effective learning products that meet project learning objectives and stakeholder expectations Collaborate with Online Development to design effective and aligned online learning activities Perform quality control checks on deliverables Oversee version control, project tracking boards, and documentation for all curriculum assets Technical writing: Re-work technical and complex content into accessible, engaging learning Apply departmental editing and style guide practices Analysis/Research: Work closely with the Technical Content Supervisor to design the course vision Perform preliminary learner profiles and client needs analyses Analyze existing and potential content,



focusing on areas for improvement and identifying possible content gaps Determine content requirements for recent courses where content does not already exist Full 25 In this position, you will report to the Technical Content Supervisor , and will be working remotely from your home office in Canada. CWB has adopting a remote-first working model, where employees will work from their home office, servicing the client within their specified areas either remotely or in person.

One year certificate in Instructional Design ~ 3+years instructional design experience, ideally workingwith technical content ~ Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Microsoft Teams ~ Ability to coordinate multiple projects and meet deadlines ~ This is a remote, work from home position Travel might be required from time to time The following qualifications are considered assets: Post Secondary Degree or Certificate in Instructional Design, Curriculum Development, Education or related field.
