The Residence

Child and Youth Worker is Grid 11, Compensation starts at 29.22 and requires union membership. Shifts are either 7:30am-3:30pm or 3:30pm-11:30pm, and positions are set by the agency at locations in the Westshore and Sooke. Candidates who are looking to contribute to the growth and development of others, have a passion for helping others, and have experience working with at-risk children and youth. Candidates who are looking to grow their career in the social services field.

Excellent communicator who is understanding, patient, and non-judgmental while providing exceptional care to our youth. Computer literacy - ability to use multiple technology platforms.

Experience working with at-risk youth and/or people who have a mental health diagnosis. Understanding of Trauma Informed Care, and experience providing trauma informed counselling (through behavior management, attachment based, relational, or other appropriate modalities).

Education in a related field (education, psychology, child and youth care, counselling, health care). Diploma in a related human/social service field and Two years recent related experience.
