Overview

Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Resident Physiotherapist or Registered Physiotherapist, where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care across diverse clinical settings. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your expertise in physiotherapy, contribute to patient recovery, and develop your professional skills in a supportive environment. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to assess, plan, and implement tailored rehabilitation programs that promote optimal mobility and well-being.

Duties

- Conduct comprehensive physiotherapy assessments for patients of all ages, including pediatrics, to determine individual needs and treatment goals
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based techniques to improve patient mobility, strength, and function
- Provide hands-on therapy interventions such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities to facilitate recovery
- Monitor patient progress regularly, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes
- Educate patients and their families on injury prevention, self-care strategies, and home exercise programs
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of assessments, treatments, and progress notes in compliance with healthcare standards




- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure seamless patient support

Skills

- Proven experience working in hospital environments with exposure to acute care settings
- Strong background in pediatric physiotherapy with the ability to adapt treatments for children of various ages
- Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to supporting diverse patient populations
- Proficiency in medical terminology relevant to physiotherapy and healthcare documentation
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams in fast-paced clinical environments
- Strong communication skills for educating patients and collaborating with healthcare providers
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to best practices
