The role of the Professional Practice Lead (PPL), Respiratory Therapy, is to advance the professional practice of the Respiratory Therapy discipline to support excellence in patient and family centered health care. As the PPL you will align planning and policy development, service delivery and evaluation of the Respiratory Therapy Program for the University of Alberta Hospital (UAH) and Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute. This PPL position reports to the Manager of Respiratory Therapy for the UAH and Mazankowski Heart Institute.

As a Respiratory Therapist III, you will be responsible for mentoring, promoting standards of practice, responding to clinical questions, and coordinating ongoing skill and student development within your team.

7.75 Length of Shift in weeks: Shifts per cycle: Shift Pattern: Days Off: As Per Rotation Required Qualifications: Active or eligible for registration with the College of Respiratory Therapists of Alberta (CRTA).

Additional Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of Respiratory Therapy. Minimum 5 years of acute care experience obtained within the last 7 years as a Respiratory Therapist. Demonstrated leadership experience in planning, leading change and evaluation.

Demonstrated clear pattern of skilled and personal development. A satisfactory criminal record check and/or Vulnerable Sector Search is required prior to your first day of work. Communities.
