Number of Openings: 1 Worker Type: Permanent Position Overview: You are a self-motivated individual who takes pride in your ability to acknowledge what needs to be done and see it through to completion. In the role of Production Assistant, you will provide general labour support and assistance to the production personnel within your assigned department. In addition to this, you will oversee the production area cleanliness and organization, contributing to a secure and efficient work space.

Monitor and submit tools for inspection and calibration Manage maintenance and housekeeping binders Entry of information into computer database Locate required parts in other areas of the building High school diploma Experience in a heavy-duty equipment facility is preferred Crane/rigging as well as Power jack/Forklift experience is preferred Must be able to communicate written and spoken English effectively Must have basic computer skills including Microsoft Office Ability to regularly lift and handle material weighing up to 40 pounds A condition of employment is the ability to be fit tested and the ability to wear a respirator Candidate must demonstrate the ability to work in a safe manner and comply in all aspects of the organizations policies and procedures.
Note: This posting is for a static day shift; Monday - Friday,
8 hours per day Candidate may at times be asked to slightly adjust schedule to provide some coverage at the beginning of the afternoon shift Any future shift changes that may occur will be made in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Collective Agreement.
Hourly Rate: $24.40 - $25.46 / Hour This will be effective immediately and will result in union dues being deducted from your pay.
