Position Title: Safety Programs Instructor
Employment Status: Casual / Part-Time (as applicable)
Location: Regina, Saskatchewan
Position Summary
Elite Safety Services Inc. is a Canadian company providing customized safety training, medical support, and standby rescue services to clients across the industrial, construction, manufacturing, agricultural, and energy sectors. Medical Programs Instructor
As demand for our occupational safety training programs continues to grow, we are seeking a knowledgeable and engaging SafetyPrograms Instructor to join our team on a casual/part-time basis.
This position is responsible for delivering high-quality classroom and practical safety training, including Confined
Space Entry, Fall Protection, Elevated Work Platforms, and other approved safety programs. The instructor will ensure participants receive practical, relevant training that prepares them to recognize workplace hazards, work safely, and demonstrate required competencies.
The ideal candidate has hands-on industrial or construction experience, robust communication skills, and the ability to translate safety requirements and real-world experience into engaging, practical instruction.
Training & Instruction Responsibilities
- Deliver safety training programs including Confined Space Entry, Fall Protection, Elevated Work Platforms, and other approved courses as qualified and assigned
- Facilitate classroom instruction, demonstrations, practical exercises, and competency-based evaluations
- Provide clear instruction on hazard identification, risk controls, equipment use, safe work practices, and applicable regulatory requirements
- Evaluate participant knowledge and practical competency objectively and consistently
- Provide constructive coaching and feedback while maintaining required course and certification standards
- Ensure training is delivered in accordance with applicable legislation, regulatory requirements, industry standards, and approved course materials
- Maintain accurate attendance, evaluations, competency records,
and course documentation
- Prepare classrooms, practical training areas, equipment, and training materials prior to course delivery
- Inspect and appropriately use training equipment in accordance with manufacturer requirements and established safe work practices
- Identify equipment deficiencies, damaged equipment, or other safety concerns and report them appropriately
- Assist with the review and continuous improvement of course materials and practical training activities
Operational & Administrative Support
- Represent Elite Safety Services professionally with students, clients, employers, regulators, and external partners
- Maintain a safe and professional learning environment during both classroom and practical training
- Assist with course setup, teardown, equipment preparation, and training logistics
- Maintain current instructor certifications and qualifications for assigned programs
- Participate in instructor meetings, professional development, and quality improvement activities as required
- Travel to client sites and other training locations as required
- Adapt course delivery appropriately to different industries, workplaces, and participant experience levels while maintaining required learning outcomes and certification standards
Required Qualifications
- Current instructor certification or recognized qualification in one or more of the following:
- Confined Space Entry
- Fall Protection
- Elevated Work Platforms
- Relevant occupational safety, industrial, construction, or trades experience
- Strong knowledge of workplace hazard identification and safe work practices
- Strong interpersonal, communication,
presentation, and organizational skills
- Comfortable facilitating both classroom and hands-on practical training
- Ability to objectively evaluate participant knowledge and practical competency
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence with acceptable driving record
- Ability and willingness to travel as required
- Ability to perform the physical requirements associated with practical safety training and equipment demonstrations
Assets
- Instructor certification in multiple safety disciplines
- Confined Space Rescue or technical rescue experience
- NCSO or other recognized occupational health and safety designation
- Experience working in industrial, construction, oil and gas, manufacturing, or similar high-hazard environments
- Previous instructional, coaching, or adult education experience
- Familiarity with Manitoba and Saskatchewan occupational health and safety requirements
- Experience with additional programs such as H2S, WHMIS, Lockout/Tagout, Ground Disturbance, or other industrial safety training
- First Aid/CPR certification
- Experience delivering training at client worksites

- Ability to work a flexible schedule base on course demand, including occasional evenings, weekends or out-of-town assignments
- Ability to safely participate ion and demonstrate practical components of assigned training programs

Reporting Structure
Reports To: Manager – Risk Management
Pay: $30.00-$45.00 per hour
