Biomed Recovery & Disposal Ltd. is hiring for the fulltime position of Sales and Service Associate.
Biomed Recovery and Disposal is the largest medical waste management company in Saskatchewan. We are a growing company based in Aberdeen, SK, only 20 minutes north of Saskatoon. Position Summary The Sales & Service Associate is a key point of contact for Biomed customers and supports sales activities, customer service, and day-to-day business operations.
This role is primarily focused on inside sales and customer support, including responding to customer inquiries, preparing quotes, maintaining customer accounts, coordinating service activities, and supporting invoicing and documentation processes. The position also provides administrative support and may involve occasional travel within Saskatchewan to support customer audits, service activities, and business development initiatives.
The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
Customer Service & Sales Support
- Build and maintain positive relationships with existing and prospective customers.
- Respond to customer inquiries by phone and email in a professional and timely manner.
- Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate Biomed products and services.
- Prepare quotes and assist with sales follow-up activities.
- Maintain accurate customer records and account information.
- Coordinate customer requests with internal departments to ensure timely resolution.
- Identify opportunities to support customer retention and business growth.
- Represent Biomed professionally in all customer interactions.
Administrative & Documentation Support
- Answer and direct incoming telephone calls.
- Assist with scheduling customer service activities and account follow-up.
- Maintain organized records, files, and documentation.
- Support data entry, reporting, and other administrative tasks.
- Match waybills, shipping documentation,
service records, and barcode tracking information to support accurate customer invoicing.
- Review documentation for accuracy and completeness and investigate discrepancies as required.
- Assist team members across departments as needed.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that support operational efficiency.
Service & Business Support
- Assist with annual customer audits and service reviews.
- Support customer visits, relationship-building activities, and business development initiatives.
- Assist with delivery and installation of containers and related service activities when required.
- Support the implementation of current products, services, and customer programs.
- Travel occasionally within Saskatchewan as required.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 suite.
- Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Professional, dependable, and accountable work ethic.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to reliably commute to our office location on a consistent basis.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in customer service, inside sales, account support, administration, or a related role.
- Experience with invoicing, billing, data entry, records management, or shipping documentation.
- Experience using CRM, ERP, accounting, or business management software.
- Knowledge of healthcare, logistics, environmental services, or waste management industries.
- Experience supporting customer accounts and business development activities.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, and use standard office equipment for extended periods.
- Ability to lift, move, and carry items weighing up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
- Ability to safely load, unload, and transport products or supplies when required.
Working Conditions
- Primarily office-based environment.
- Frequent interaction with customers by telephone and email.
- Occasional travel within Saskatchewan.
- Fast-paced environment requiring adaptability, organization, and attention to detail.
Schedule
- Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8am to 4:30pm position.
- Occasional overtime and weekend work may be required.
Compensation & Benefits Compensation will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, and training. Benefits and additional perks will be discussed during the interview process.
