About the Role
We are seeking dependable, detail-oriented individuals to maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of our food production facility. You will clean and sanitize production floors, processing rooms, equipment, and tools, helping keep the facility ready for safe food production.
We are looking to hire two part-time employees or one full-time employee. Part-time positions may become full-time based on individual performance and business needs.
This hands-on role suits someone who takes pride in thorough work, understands the importance of food safety, and consistently follows established cleaning procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize production equipment, utensils, tools, food-contact surfaces, floors, and processing areas according to company procedures and schedules.
- Remove food residue, grease, and waste while preventing contamination of products and clean equipment.
- Follow the company’s HACCP-based sanitation procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices, and personal hygiene requirements.
- Prepare and use approved cleaning chemicals according to instructions, including required concentrations and contact times.
- Follow equipment shutdown and lockout procedures; disassemble and reassemble designated parts only when trained and authorized.
- Complete sanitation logs and checklists accurately, report missed areas or concerns, and repeat cleaning when required.
- Maintain cleaning tools and supplies, remove waste, and report leaks, damage, pest activity, or maintenance needs.
- Work with production and quality staff to ensure assigned areas meet cleanliness requirements before use.
Qualifications & Working Requirements
- Previous food facility sanitation or industrial cleaning experience is preferred.
- Understanding of food safety and cross-contamination prevention, with a willingness to learn company procedures.
- Ability to follow written instructions, chemical labels, and cleaning schedules and complete basic records.
- Strong attention to detail, dependable attendance, and the ability to work independently or with a team.
- Comfortable working around animal fats, bones, food residue, moisture, and varying temperatures.
- Ability to stand, bend, scrub, and perform repetitive tasks, and safely move equipment or materials using appropriate assistance.
- Commitment to protected chemical handling, required protective equipment, and workplace safety procedures.
HACCP, food safety, or WHMIS training is an asset. Training in our site-specific sanitation procedures will be provided. Why Join Us?

Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 – 25.0 per week
