Carlson Construction Group is seeking an experienced and driven Scheduler / Planner to join our growing team. What You'll Do

As a Scheduler / Planner, you will be a key member of the project team, providing planning, scheduling, and project controls expertise throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
- Create and manage project Work Breakdown Structures (WBS).
- Break project scope into logical work packages, activities, durations, and dependencies.
- Establish baseline schedules and monitor progress against planned milestones.
- Analyze schedule performance and report project status to stakeholders.
- Identify critical path activities, risks, constraints,



and opportunities.
- Recommend mitigation measures, corrective actions, and recovery plans when required.
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Superintendents, Estimators, and Project Coordinators to ensure schedules align with project execution strategies.
- Prepare look-ahead schedules, progress reports, schedule forecasts, and executive-level reporting.
- Support project controls functions, including forecasting, productivity analysis, earned value management, and schedule-cost integration.
- Evaluate changes in project scope and assess schedule impacts.
- Participate in project planning sessions, risk reviews, and constructability discussions.
- Continuously improve planning and scheduling practices across the organization.

What You'll Bring

Qualifications

- Degree or diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Controls, Project Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of scheduling and planning experience within construction, industrial, infrastructure, marine, fabrication, or heavy civil projects.
- Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
- Strong understanding of Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling.
- Experience developing and maintaining Work Breakdown Structures (WBS).
- Knowledge of project controls, forecasting, earned value management, cost control, and schedule analysis.
- Experience integrating schedule, cost, and progress measurement systems.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing, and execution planning.
- Ability to evaluate risks, analyze impacts, and develop practical recovery plans.
- Experience supporting large-scale industrial or infrastructure projects is considered an asset.

Salary: $90,000 - $120,000 per annum The actual salary offered to the successful candidate will be determined based on job‑related factors, including relevant experience, years of experience,
