Job Title : Security Professional - Homeless Shelter - Full time Type : Full Time Pay Rate : $19.00 per hour Shifts : 7:00AM - 7:00PM | Day shift | 12 hour Continental Shift We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Security Qualified - Homeless Shelter - Full time to join our team at a shelter. Prior experience working in shelter is an asset. This role is crucial to ensuring the safety and well-being of our residents, staff, and visitors.

Monitor Facility Access : Control access to the shelter, ensuring that only authorized individuals are allowed entry.

Conflict Resolution :



Address and de-escalate any disputes or conflicts between residents, guests, or staff.

Emergency Response : Respond promptly to emergencies (medical, fire, security, etc.), Safety & Security : Conduct regular patrols of the building and surrounding areas to ensure safety and prevent incidents of theft, vandalism, or other criminal activities. Secure doors and windows after hours.

Collaboration with Shelter Staff : Work closely with shelter management and staff to implement security protocols, and provide support for residents in need of additional assistance. 1-2 years of experience working in a shelter, supportive housing, high risk environment, vulnerable persons. ~ Must have a valid Ontario Security License. ~ Must be at least 18 years old. ~ High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience ~ Paid training and development programs.
