Location(s): Montreal, Toronto A career as a Senior Advisor in Accounting and taxation at National Bank means participating in the transformation and having a direct impact on clients. You work in a complex sector of activity to help identify business issues and meet the needs of various stakeholders in order to support major initiatives.

National Bank’s Investment Fund Administration team is responsible for calculating investment fund unit prices, producing financial statements, and preparing tax returns.

Your knowledge of the sector, various products, coaching experience and interest in taxation/accounting/securities will help you stand out.

Your job

- Analyze the tax situation of investment funds and make recommendations
- Coach, guide the team and participate in the calculation of distributions and the production of tax returns for investment funds
- Manage a strategic relationship with internal and external partners with the aim of establishing a collaborative relationship, influencing decisions and encouraging an increase in the volume of activities
- Develop, implement and evolve effective controls and working tools allowing the achievement of high quality standards, thus ensuring the integrity of financial data in the calculation of investment funds
- Monitor the industry and ensure the application of tax and securities rules in the team's various deliverables
- Participate in and coordinate projects and ensure their monitoring
- Collaborate and contribute to the improvement of activities and processes

Your team The Taxation team of the Investment Operations sector consists of 12 professionals. Supported by tax experts,



our team analyzes and interprets data to make the best decisions for our clients and partners while meeting the challenges of tax and securities law.

Prerequisite

- Master in taxation, completed or in progress, and at least 5 years of relevant experience
- Accounting title (CPA)
- Knowledge of investment funds and trusts, mandatory
- Increased knowledge of investment fund distributions
- Experience in filing tax returns for trusts and corporations
- Knowledge of tax, accounting and securities standards applying to investment funds
- Experience in individual and team coaching, as well as competency development
- Advanced knowledge of Excel (complex formulas and pivot tables)
- Ability to handle pressure and valuable management of priorities

Languages: English, French

Reason to require this language: you will need to serve clients who speak a language other than French regularly.
