Position Purpose

Abundant Air & Pleasant Plumber have partnered with Coast to Coast HR to find our newest Senior Bookkeeper. We are seeking an experienced, practical Senior Bookkeeper to manage the day-to-day accounts for our local Winnipeg operations and our entity in Minnesota. Operating out of our Winnipeg office, you will take ownership of full-cycle bookkeeping, maintain clean accounts, and keep our cash flow moving smoothly across both locations.

Core Responsibilities

- Full-Cycle & Cross-Border Accounting, Manage full-cycle bookkeeping processes, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments
- Multi-Entity Bookkeeping: Run the daily, full-cycle bookkeeping for both the Canadian and US businesses using QuickBooks Online.
- Bank & Account Reconciliations: Complete monthly reconciliations for business bank accounts, corporate credit cards, and multi-currency transactions.
- Tax Compliance: Complete filings for Manitoba sales taxes (GST/PST) and track state-level sales tax requirements for our Minnesota operations.
- Accounts Receivable, Payable & Collections: Review accounts receivable aging reports regularly. Professionally and firmly follow up on past-due invoices with customers to reduce delinquency.
- Accounts Payable: Manage vendor schedules, verify incoming bills for accuracy, and process payments timely.
- Ability to perform budgeting tasks and financial forecasting with precision




- Effective communication skills to collaborate across teams and explain financial data clearly.
- Conduct detailed account analysis to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly
- Prepare and review financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to support organizational planning
- Oversee payroll processing, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and accuracy in employee payments
- Assist with year-end closing activities, audit preparations, and maintaining comprehensive documentation of all bookkeeping activities

Qualifications and Experience

- Experience: 5+ years of full-cycle bookkeeping experience. Experience in the mechanical trades, HVAC, plumbing, or construction industries is highly preferred.
- US Landscape Knowledge: Working familiarity with US small business financial setups (including US banking workflows and basic state sales tax mechanics) is required.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency with QuickBooks Online (QBO) and Microsoft Excel.
- Professional Strengths: Trustworthy, detail-oriented, and comfortable making direct collection calls to keep cash flow current.

- Experience setting up or documenting office Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- A background in evaluating accounting workflows and recommending software or process improvements.
- Familiarity with trade-specific dispatch or scheduling management software.

Pay: $58,240.00-$66,560.00 per year
