Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Senior Property Accountant to join our growing property management team. In this vital role, you will oversee the financial operations of property portfolios, ensuring accurate recording, reporting, and analysis of property-related financial data. Your expertise will maintain compliance with accounting standards.

Responsibilities

- Manage and oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes related to property operations, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports for individual properties and portfolios.
- Conduct detailed account reconciliation and bank reconciliation activities to verify accuracy of financial data across multiple systems such as Yardi, Infotracker, Sage, and other accounting software.
- Monitor and record property expenses, income, and budgets; assist in variance analysis to identify discrepancies or areas for improvement.
- Support auditing processes by maintaining organized records of financial transactions, preparing audit schedules, and responding to auditor inquiries.
- Assist with budgeting processes by compiling data, analyzing trends,



and providing insights for future planning.
- Collaborate with property management teams to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures while maintaining high standards of bookkeeping accuracy.

Experience

- Proven experience as a Property Accountant or in a similar role within real estate or financial services industries.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software such as Yardi, Infotracker, QuickBooks, Sage or equivalent platforms.
- Demonstrated ability in account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and account analysis.
- Knowledge of corporate finance principles including budgeting, auditing, payroll processing, and financial reporting.
- Familiarity with accounts payable/receivable workflows and bookkeeping best practices.
- Experience working with multiple systems for financial management; ability to adapt quickly to new technology tools is highly valued.
- Excellent attention to detail combined with solid organizational skills to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
