Company, Department: Nova Scotia Power, Talent Management Location: Halifax, NS Type of Employment: Full-time, Regular We are currently looking for a Talent Management Specialist to join our Human Resources team in a permanent position. Reporting to the Manager, Talent Management & Development, you will play an important role in shaping employee experience through talent management, learning and development, and employee engagement initiatives that support both individual and organizational success. In this role, you'll partner with leaders and employees across the organization to deliver programs that drive performance, development, and career growth.

From supporting talent reviews and succession planning to coordinating leadership development, mentorship, onboarding, and engagement initiatives, your work will have a direct impact on building a high-performing and future-ready workforce. Leading the execution of performance management and talent review processes that support employee growth and organizational success. Coordinating succession planning, development planning, and talent initiatives that strengthen leadership and workforce readiness.

Providing guidance and support to leaders and employees on talent management programs, processes, and tools. Monitoring program effectiveness through reporting and analysis, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement. Supporting employee engagement initiatives, including survey administration, communications, reporting, and action planning activities.

Coordinating and deliver employee development programs such as mentorship, onboarding, leadership development, recognition, and early career initiatives. Managing talent and development projects, ensuring key milestones, timelines,



and deliverables are achieved.

These Skills Will Make You Successful

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Adult Education, Organizational Development, or a related field. Approximately three years of experience in talent management, learning and development, employee engagement, or a related HR discipline. Strong understanding of talent management practices, including performance management, succession planning, and employee development.

Strong project coordination and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and HR technologies. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including the capability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
