Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and charismatic Server to join our team at Oretta.

In this role, you will deliver outstanding guest experiences by providing attentive service. Following our attentive Steps of Service and our Hospitality guidelines, your enthusiasm and professionalism will help create memorable moments for our guests while ensuring smooth restaurant operations. This position offers an excellent opportunity to grow within a lively, upscale dining environment.

We are prioritizing open and full time availability , and for part-time, Weekend availability on both Saturdays and Sundays all day, as well as 1-3 additional full days availability for scheduling.

Those without weekend availability will not be considered.

Responsibilities

- Team player: Someone who thrives in a team environment, is able to work alongside others
- Event-based clientele (Jays games, theatre crowd, convention centre clients) as well as Corporate Clientele and VIP regulars. A strong understanding of how to adapt to different types of Services and Guest expectations.
- Assist with food handling, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff as needed Skills
- Proven experience in food service or hospitality roles, especially in fine dining or brunch settings
- Proficiency with Toast POS system or similar




- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices
- Excellent time management skills to handle busy service periods effectively
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining guest satisfaction
- Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly, professional and charismatic attitude
- Skills for cash handling, cashiering, and order accuracy
- A strong passion for Hospitality that shines through service
- Wine knowledge and cocktail knowledge an asset, Italian food knowledge an asset

Availability requirements: We are looking for Servers who are available Full-time for 5 shifts a week (must work weekends).

Must have a Serving background in a similar casual fine dining restaurant. Please be prepared to provide references. Those without serving experience will not be considered for this position at this location.

Candidates must have availability November through January. Christmas Day will be off, all other days leading up and on NYE you must be available.
