MacKay’s Truck & Trailer Center is currently seeking a Shipper/Receiver to join our team in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.

What You’ll Do As a Shipper/Receiver, you will play an important role in supporting our Parts Department by ensuring incoming and outgoing shipments are handled accurately, efficiently and safely. This position is well suited to someone who is organized, dependable and comfortable balancing multiple priorities in a busy dealership environment.

Key responsibilities include

- Receive, inspect and process incoming parts and shipments
- Prepare, package and process outgoing orders for shipment
- Load and unload parts and materials from delivery vehicles
- Verify shipments against packing slips, purchase orders and other documentation
- Identify and report shortages, discrepancies or damaged items
- Complete rotational inventory counts and assist with maintaining accurate inventory
- Organize and maintain shipping,



receiving and Parts Department areas
- Assist with preparing and maintaining merchandise displays
- Coordinate with Parts personnel and other departments to ensure materials are received and distributed efficiently
- Load, transport and deliver parts and other items to customers or businesses in a safe and timely manner
- Follow established safety procedures when handling, storing and transporting materials
- Perform other related duties as required

What We’re Looking For
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Dependable, self-directed and able to work effectively as part of a team
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Comfortable using computers and learning inventory or dealership systems
- Previous shipping, receiving, warehouse or inventory experience is an asset
- Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of the position, including loading, unloading and handling parts and materials
- Forklift certification and previous forklift experience are considered assets; training may be provided to the successful candidate if required
- Valid Class 5 driver’s licence and a satisfactory driving record
