We’re looking for a hardworking shop hand to join our team!
In this role, you’ll help keep things running smoothly in the shop and on job sites. Your tasks will include cleaning and organizing the shop, loading and unloading materials, and helping manage supplies. Knowledge of plumbing materials is a bonus.
You must be able to lift heavy items, pay attention to details, and safely use warehouse tools and equipment. Driving to and from construction sites is part of the job, so a valid driver’s license and a clean driver’s abstract are required.
Company vehicle is provided.
Benefits are implemented after 3 month period.
Responsibilities
- Perform heavy lifting and moving of materials throughout the warehouse.
- Execute order picking tasks with precision to fulfill customer orders.
- Deliver materials to and from site. Valid drivers Licence and abstract required.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers using appropriate equipment.
- Operate warehouse machinery such as pump trucks and forklifts safely and efficiently.
- Maintain organization within the warehouse .
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment.
Experience
- Previous experience in a plumbing knowledge is preferred but not required.
- Mechanical knowledge is a plus, particularly in operating a forklift.
- Experience with load unloading procedures is advantageous.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting while maintaining accuracy.
