Showroom Sales & Design Consultant The Granite Shop – Ottawa, ON

Pay: $20–$25/hour, based on experience

Schedule: 5 days per week, including some Saturdays

Showroom Hours: Monday–Saturday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM

About the Position The Granite Shop is looking for a Showroom Sales & Design Consultant to help customers select countertops and guide them through the purchasing process.

The ideal candidate has a strong eye for design, colour and coordinating finishes, along with excellent people and sales skills.

Previous granite experience is a major asset, but not required. We can teach the right candidate about stone, countertop fabrication and our products.

What You'll Be Doing
- Greeting customers in our showroom
- Understanding the customer's project, style and budget
- Helping customers select granite, quartz, marble and porcelain
- Coordinating countertop colours with cabinets, flooring, backsplash, paint and other finishes
- Explaining different stone and quartz options
- Helping customers select countertop edges, sinks and other details
- Preparing quotes and following up with customers
- Converting showroom inquiries into sales
- Responding to phone, email and website inquiries
- Maintaining customer information and following up on open opportunities
- Coordinating with templating, fabrication and installation teams




- Building relationships with homeowners, designers, contractors and builders
- Keeping showroom samples and displays organized and presentable

Experience Previous experience in interior design, decorating, tile, flooring, kitchens, cabinets, furniture, granite/quartz or home improvement sales is strongly preferred.

Countertop experience is NOT required.

If you have a strong design background and sales ability, we are willing to provide training on granite, quartz, marble, porcelain, fabrication and countertop installation.

We're looking for someone who can help customers turn those choices into a finished design they are excited about — and confidently guide them from their first showroom visit through the sale.

Pay: $20.00–$25.00/hour based on experience and qualifications.
