Daytech Limited designs, manufactures and installs transit shelters, signage and street furniture. We're looking for an experienced Site Installation Foreman to lead our field crews and deliver installations safely, on schedule and to spec.About the Role
Reporting to the Installation Project Coordinator, you will run day-to-day field operations across multiple active job sites. You'll lead installation crews, manage site readiness and install schedules, enforce safety standards, and make sure every structure is installed correctly and signed off. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who has run crews and job sites and is comfortable owning results.Responsibilities
- Lead, schedule and supervise installation crews across multiple job sites
- Plan and manage daily and weekly install schedules with the Installation Project Coordinator, adjusting for weather, site conditions and material availability
- Review drawings, shop documents and work orders before mobilizing; confirm site readiness, layout and measurements (tape, laser level, etc.)
- Coordinate with the plant, product designers, subcontractors, municipal contacts and other trades on site
- Enforce health and safety on every site: PPE, site setup, public and traffic protection, hazard assessments and toolbox talks, in line with OHSA
- Conduct quality control inspections,
resolve installation deficiencies and keep accurate records
- Complete daily site reports, crew hours and progress updates on a company tablet
- Ensure public sites are left clean and safe on completion
- Work hands-on with tools (drill, impact driver, etc.) when needed
- Train and develop installers, and address performance issues constructively
- Other duties as assigned by the Installation Project Coordinator or Plant Manager
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a foreman or crew lead in construction, installation or a related trade, managing crews, job sites and install schedules
- Proven ability to run multiple sites and keep work on schedule and on budget
- Able to read and interpret drawings, shop documents and work orders
- Solid knowledge of Ontario construction safety requirements (OHSA); Working at Heights and WHMIS required or willing to obtain
- Robust English communication skills, with crews, coordinators and the public
- Comfortable using mobile apps and software for reporting
- Valid Ontario driver's licence with a clean record
- Secondary school diploma or equivalent
- Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all seasons
- Experience with steel structures, glazing, signage or municipal/transit work is an asset
