Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Slitter Rewinder Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining slitting and rewinding machinery to produce high-quality rolled materials. Your expertise will ensure efficient production processes, adherence to safety standards, and consistent product quality.

Responsibilities

- Set up, operate, and monitor multiple slitter rewinder machines to ensure optimal performance and quality output.
- Adjust machine settings based on specifications, using tools such as calipers and blueprint reading skills.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks.
- Conduct quality control checks on finished rolls, verifying dimensions and surface quality against standards.
- Maintain accurate production logs, including shift reports, machine maintenance records, and quality documentation.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues using mechanical knowledge and basic math skills; perform minor repairs or escalate as needed.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts safely for material handling and storage purposes.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work area.
- Assist in packaging finished products efficiently for shipment while adhering to company standards.




- Support continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting process enhancements and maintaining a clean work environment.

Qualifications

- Proven experience operating slitter rewinders or similar manufacturing machinery in a production setting. Must have 5 years Slitter Rewinder experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Previous experience operating slitters or working in a paper converting workplace is preferred
- Forklift experience is an asset.
- Warehouse experience including forklift operation certification preferred; must be comfortable handling materials with safety awareness.
- Knowledge of quality control procedures and packaging standards within manufacturing environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical or technical issues efficiently.
- Strong teamwork ethic with the ability to follow detailed instructions precisely in a fast-paced setting.
