Social Media & Digital Ads Contractor

At The Finnish Sauna Co., we honour the centuries-old practice of sauna: heat, steam, and time together. We operate two permanent outdoor saunas, a seasonal sauna, and mobile sauna rentals across British Columbia, connecting Finnish tradition with the landscapes of BC.

Our mission is simple: authentic outdoor experiences, sauna as it was meant to be — simple, communal, and close to the elements. We're looking for someone who can bring our story to life online and get people excited to unplug, sweat, and connect.

Scope

- Edit raw photos/video (we supply) into posts — reels, stories, feed content
- Organic management/ posting/scheduling, captions, comment/DM engagement
- Meta Ads: setup, targeting, creative, budget management
- Google Ads: local search campaigns, keyword/bid management
- Monthly performance reporting
- Plan and run monthly content days — build the shoot calendar, coordinate locations/timing with the team, organize what needs to be captured before the shoot happens
- Build and maintain an ongoing content calendar

Not included: shooting/producing original content (we shoot,



contractor plans + edits).

Structure

- Single independent contractor agreement
- Fixed hours/days per week, defined in the contract
- In-person availability required for content-day planning and coordination

Requirements

- Proven experience running Meta Ads and Google Ads for a local/service business (results examples requested)
- Video/photo editing samples (reels/short-form, not just static graphics)
- Comfortable planning and running in-person content days — not just editing what's handed to them
- Clear, proactive communicator
- Wellness, hospitality, or local-service experience a plus
- Based in Vancouver or Squamish

Compensation

- This is a subcontractor position paying at the hourly rate of $35-40/hr, depending on experience.
- Each weeks hours may vary but are estimated to be around 10-15/week
