Social Media & Marketing Assistant

Willow Tree Nannies is looking for a creative, reliable and friendly Social Media & Marketing Assistant to help us connect with families throughout the Greater Toronto Area.

Responsibilities

- Create and post content on Instagram and Facebook
- Work twice per week on Willow Tree’s social media and marketing activities
- Look for families who may be searching for childcare and engage with relevant local communities and posts
- Reach out to potential families in a professional and respectful way
- Direct interested families to the Willow Tree Nannies website
- Respond to basic social media inquiries and provide general information about our services
- Communicate with the Director when a family expresses interest in childcare
- Keep the Director informed about potential clients and important conversations
- Create promotional flyers, graphics and other social media marketing materials
- Use Canva or similar design software to create marketing materials
- Help promote Willow Tree’s services, availability, packages and special promotions
- Monitor social media activity and identify opportunities to reach new families
- Maintain a warm, professional and consistent Willow Tree brand
- Obtain Director approval before publishing new marketing materials or posts




- Follow Willow Tree’s guidelines regarding privacy, family information and social media communication

What We’re Looking For

- Creative and comfortable using social media
- Strong communication skills
- Friendly, professional and respectful when communicating with families
- Comfortable reaching out to people and starting conversations
- Organized and reliable
- Able to work independently
- Familiar with Instagram and Facebook
- Comfortable using Canva is an asset
- Good understanding of social media trends and local community engagement
- Able to follow brand guidelines and take direction from the Director

Key AI tools may be used for brainstorming or idea development, but final marketing flyers and promotional materials should be original, human-created work and reviewed by the Director before being posted.

The person in this role will not make promises about availability, pricing, caregiver matching or bookings without approval from the Director.

Position: Part-Time Social Media & Marketing Assistant

Schedule: 2 days per week

Location: Greater Toronto Area / Remote
